Camera kit

A light setup for filming temples, gardens and trails without hauling a full camera bag.

Camera kit

DJI Osmo Pocket 3

A gimbal camera that fits in a pocket, so you can film a whole temple visit without a camera bag. In 2018 I shot on a Canon camera and our phones; this is the lighter kit I'd look at now. I haven't used it on a trip yet.

  • 1-inch sensor, 4K up to 120fps
  • 3-axis mechanical stabilization
  • 2-inch rotating touchscreen for horizontal or vertical shooting
  • 10-bit D-Log M color

Keep in mind: Some temples and museums ban filming indoors, and tripods are often not allowed. Look for signs and ask when unsure.

Also available: Osmo Pocket 3 Creator Combo

Camera kit

SanDisk Extreme microSD (128GB)

4K footage fills cards fast. A fast V30 card plus one spare is cheap insurance against a full card halfway up a mountain.

  • 128GB with SD adapter
  • U3 / V30, A2 rated
  • Up to 190MB/s read with compatible readers

Keep in mind: Back up to your phone or a laptop each night. Hotel Wi-Fi is usually fine for small uploads.
